| IAIS Engine 711, servicing CB&I on Swanson Blvd in Clive; this is an interesting catch steeped in railroad history as these tracks were once serviced by the mighty MILW aka CMStPP, sold to N&W during the 1980-1985 mergers when the DMURR was finally assimilated, and then serviced by N&W/NS up until they nearly abandoned the tracks; the tracks are rough right now, but there are signs that IAIS has either purchased them outright or plan to rehab as lengths of new rail, ballast, ties and other implements are waiting in the wing near this spot; Clive IA |
